
Amman, Oct.1 (Petra) – The South Korean Embassy in Amman celebrated the 4,357th anniversary of the country’s establishment on Tuesday evening.
Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Nancy Nimroqa, a number of senior officials, members of the diplomatic corps, and media attended the event.
Delivering a speech during the ceremony, South Korean Ambassador to Jordan, Kim Pil-woo, emphasized the “depth” of bilateral relations , which span more than six decades of “constructive cooperation and strong friendship.”
On their scope, he noted these relations are not limited to political and economic cooperation alone, but are based on shared values ??manifested in mutual respect, understanding, and commitment to humanitarian principles.
The envoy added that the Jordanian people have left a “remarkable” impact on the hearts of Koreans for their their tolerance, generosity, and humanity, expressing his appreciation for the two countries’ mutual support in various international forums.
The ambassador stressed his country’s “commitment” to continuing to work with Jordan for a shared future that serves common interests and promotes peace and stability in the region and the world.
The diplomat noted the two countries have built more than just bridges of trade and diplomacy, but have forged relationships based on deep trust and understanding, guided by the human values ??that drive us to work for the good of all humanity.
Captivating the audience, the ceremony featured distinguished cultural and artistic shows for traditional Korean rhythmic music and a classical music performance by a professional Korean pianist.
Participants also tasted a variety of traditional Korean dishes, highlighting diversity and richness of Korean cuisine, amid a festive atmosphere that reflected depth of cultural exchange and the strong friendship between the Jordanian and Korean peoples.
