
Amman, Feb. 16 (Petra) – Speaker of the Lower House of Representatives, Ahmad Safadi, received Saudi Arabia’s General Court of Audit (GCA) President Hussam Alangari, in the presence of Chairman of Jordanian Audit Bureau, Radi Hamadin.
Safadi stressed the “deep-rooted” bilateral relations under the two kingdoms’ leadership, adding that Lower House is “keen” to provide various forms of support to the Audit Bureau in monitoring various public institutions, aimed to preserve public funds.
During the meeting held at the House’s headquarters, Safadi stressed the importance of the oversight bodies’ role in both countries in preserving public funds, calling for exchanging expertise in this regard.
Meanwhile, Alangari stressed the “longstanding, brotherly” relations, voicing the importance of strengthening them in various fields.
Alangari expressed readiness for joint auditing cooperation, which would contribute to exchanging expertise to enhance the two nation’s operations in this area.
Alangari noted work is underway to activate the joint memorandum of understanding between the Jordanian Audit Bureau and Saudi GCA.
Hamadin said the Audit Bureau is making “advanced” steps in implementing its development plan, which are based on the King’s visions and directives in developing Jordan’s public sector.
Hamadin noted the bureau’s measures “primarily” seek to integrate the “latest” technologies that contribute to serving the main goal of preserving public funds.
Additionally, Hamadin expressed a “strong” desire to enhance cooperation with Saudi side to achieve common interests.
