Security forces eliminate notorious drug dealer in central Badia

Amman, Feb. 3 (Petra) – A special security force conducted a raid on Monday in a central Badia region, targeting a highly dangerous and armed fugitive wanted for 24 security cases, including drug trafficking, illegal weapon possession, and firearm discharge. The fugitive was also sought by the State Security Court and was considered one of the most notorious drug traffickers in central Jordan.

According to the Public Security Directorate (PSD) spokesperson, the suspect immediately opened fire upon spotting the security forces. The officers engaged in a shootout, injuring the suspect. Despite being transported for medical treatment, he succumbed to his injuries.

Authorities seized four firearms, a quantity of live ammunition, and a stash of crystal meth in his possession.

Additionally, a second individual of Arab nationality who was accompanying the fugitive was apprehended. He was found to be wanted for drug trafficking charges.

Investigations into the case are ongoing.
