Investment Forum Announces Investment Opportunities Valued at RO 300 Million
Sohar,
4 Jan 2025 (ONA) — The Main Committee of the Sohar Investment Forum 2026 has
announced the launch of a wide-ranging package of qualitative investment
opportunities for local and international investors. This move reflects a
strategic direction to enhance North Al Batinah Governorate’s position as a
central economic and industrial hub in the Sultanate of Oman and supports
efforts to attract value-added investments aligned with the goals of Oman
Vision 2040.
The
committee explained that the official investment brochure, launched as part of
the forum’s marketing campaign, aims to enable interested investors to review
and familiarize themselves with the available opportunities prior to the event.
The brochure includes approximately 50 ready-to-implement opportunities with an
estimated total investment of about RO 300 million, covering vital industrial
and logistical sectors such as food and pharmaceuticals, iron, aluminum,
plastics, and recycling projects, alongside opportunities supporting heavy
industries and advanced supply chains.
This
package underscores the vast potential of the Wilayat of Sohar as one of Oman’s
most prominent economic drivers, supported by advanced infrastructure including
a world-class port, a free zone, an advanced industrial city, and a modern road
network, as well as its strategic location connecting regional and global
markets.
The
diversity of the offered opportunities reflects the governorate’s capacity to
attract multi-level industrial projects ranging from light and medium
industries to major industrial ventures based on advanced technology and
integrated value chains.
In
this context, Engineer Said Ali Al Abri, Chairman of Oman Chamber of Commerce
and Industry branch in North Al Batinah, affirmed that the governorate
represents a fundamental pillar in Oman’s economic development path due to its
integrated industrial and logistical components.
He
noted that the Chamber continues its commitment to supporting investors and
providing a stimulating business environment based on partnership and
transparency to transform these opportunities into realistic projects that
enhance national competitiveness and sustainable development.
The
Sohar Investment Forum 2026 represents a qualitative leap in its new session in
terms of the comprehensiveness of its themes, the diversity of its programs,
and the wide participation of strategic entities. The current edition includes
high-level keynote sessions featuring government officials, private sector
leaders, and economic experts, alongside the organization of direct
business-to-business (B2B) meetings and a large-scale investment exhibition
focusing on existing projects and new opportunities in North Al Batinah.
The
forum also focuses on future sectors, primarily advanced industries, the
circular economy, smart supply chains, and clean energy, enhancing its role as
an effective platform for attracting qualitative investments. Scheduled for
February 4 and 5, 2026, the forum will serve as an interactive platform for
decision-makers, investors, and experts to review opportunities, discuss future
partnerships, and strengthen Sohar’s status as a leading economic destination
capable of attracting advanced industrial projects and sustainable investments.
