Stable Weather Pattern Brings Pleasant Conditions Until Mid-Week

Amman, Oct. 5 (Petra) — A stretch of stable and temperate weather is forecast to persist across the region through Wednesday, according to the Jordan Meteorology Department. Current mild conditions are expected to hold, with only subtle temperature variations anticipated over the next few days.

On Sunday, most regions will experience mild temperatures, making for an ideal start to the week. However, the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba will remain notably hot. Skies will feature some scattered low-altitude clouds, while the wind will be moderate northwesterly, with occasional gusts.

The weather pattern will see a subtle shift starting Monday, as a slight decrease in temperatures takes effect. Most areas will enjoy pleasant weather, a welcome change as the season progresses. The Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba will remain relatively hot, though slightly cooler than Sunday. Low-level clouds will continue to appear, and northwesterly winds will maintain a moderate speed, occasionally picking up.

The cooling trend continues into Tuesday, bringing another marginal dip in temperatures. Tuesday and Wednesday are set to be pleasantly mild across the majority of the country. Even the hotter regions the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba will experience more moderate conditions. Northwesterly winds will remain a steady feature, strengthening intermittently during this period.

Today’s maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to range as follows: East Amman 31 – 16 degrees Celsius, West Amman 29 – 14, Northern Highlands 27 – 15, Shara Highlands 28 – 13, Desert Areas 34 – 14, Plains Areas 31 – 16, Northern Jordan Valley 38 – 19, Southern Jordan Valley 36 – 24, Dead Sea 37 – 23, and Gulf of Aqaba 36 – 24 degrees Celsius.
