Temperatures Near Seasonal Averages; Mild Weather Until Friday

Amman, Sept. 16 (Petra) — Temperatures on Tuesday are expected to hover around their seasonal averages, with most regions experiencing moderate conditions, while the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba continue to face hotter weather, according to the Jordan Meteorological Department.

The forecast notes the presence of some clouds at varying altitudes, with winds shifting between northeasterly and northwesterly at moderate speeds.

The department added that the stable weather pattern will persist until Friday. Moderate conditions will dominate across highlands, plains, and most regions of the Kingdom, while the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba remain under hot conditions. Low-altitude clouds are anticipated, and winds will generally be northwesterly and moderate in strength.

For Tuesday, the highest temperatures are expected to reach 33 C in eastern Amman and 30 C in the west, with nighttime lows of 18 C and 16 C respectively. In the northern highlands, temperatures will range between 28 C and 15 C, while the Sharah highlands will record 29 C and 14 C.

Desert regions are forecast to reach 35 C by day and 18 C at night, while the plains will see 31 C and 17 C. The northern Jordan Valley will record 38 C and 23 C, the southern Jordan Valley 39 C and 26 C, the Dead Sea 38 C and 25 C, and Aqaba 37 C and 25 C.
