
Amman, Jan. 30 (Petra) – President of the General Federation of Jordanian Trade Unions (GFJTU), Khaled Fanatseh, participated in the second Global Labor Market Conference in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The conference, which brings together labor ministers, union leaders, and employers from across the globe, serves as a prominent platform for research on labor markets.
It fosters the exchange of expertise, promotes dialogue, and supports the creation of a comprehensive global labor ecosystem in partnership with organizations like the International Labor Organization (ILO), the World Bank, and the United Nations Development Program.
During the conference, Fanatseh met with Director-General of the ILO Gilbert F. Houngbo, Secretary-General of the International Trade Union Confederation Luc Triangle, and numerous Arab and international trade union leaders.
The event focuses on global labor market issues, aiming to drive dialogue on the future of labor markets, improve education and training, provide equitable job opportunities, and enhance international cooperation.
Key topics discussed included skills development, the impact of digital technologies on jobs and wages, and the role of skill-based jobs in strengthening future labor market efficiency.
