Workshop Emphasizes Importance of Integration Between Invest Oman,
Omani Embassies
Muscat, 28 Jan 2026 (ONA) — Invest Oman at the Ministry of
Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, in cooperation with the Foreign Ministry,
held a workshop with some Omani ambassadors titled “Integration and
Partnership with Omani Embassies Abroad.” The event was held within the
framework of enhancing institutional coordination and activating the role of
diplomatic missions in supporting national efforts to attract investments and
develop exports.
The workshop discussed a number of key themes, most notably the
importance of integration and partnership between the entities concerned with
investment and Omani embassies abroad, reviewing areas and mechanisms of
cooperation, the approved framework to facilitate the flow of investors and
visiting delegations to the Sultanate of Oman, in addition to introducing the
“Invest Oman” system and its services, and the roles of working teams
in supporting investors and facilitating their investment journey.
The workshop affirmed that integration and partnership between
Invest Oman and Omani embassies abroad constitute a fundamental pillar for
enhancing Oman’s efforts in attracting qualitative investments, opening direct
channels for investment opportunities, and developing exports, thereby
achieving sustainable economic value and supporting economic diversification
priorities.
Hawra Saud Al Wahibi, Director of the External Offices Affairs
Department at the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion,
stated that organizing the workshop comes within the framework of enhancing
institutional integration with Omani embassies abroad and unifying efforts to
support investors and open direct channels for investment opportunities. This
is achieved by familiarizing diplomatic missions with the Invest Oman system
and its services, and the joint work mechanisms that contribute to building
trust and transforming investment interest into tangible projects with
sustainable impact, she pointed out.
She added that enabling embassies to perform their economic
role, in integration with the work teams at Invest Oman, contributes to
enhancing the Sultanate of Oman’s presence on the global investment map. It
also supports achieving the objectives of Oman Vision 2040 by attracting
investments, developing exports, and enhancing the competitiveness of the
business environment.
The Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion
seeks to enhance institutional integration and unify efforts between the
entities concerned with investment and diplomatic missions by organizing such
meetings. This contributes to developing the investment promotion system,
enhancing the readiness of Omani embassies abroad to interact with investment
opportunities, and transforming them into qualitative projects with added value
for the national economy.
Omani Commercial Attachés abroad also represent one of the key
executive tools for promoting investment and developing exports, as they
operate within the embassy framework as specialized economic arms. They
undertake a pivotal role in introducing investment opportunities, building
relationships with investors and economic entities in host countries, and
facilitating direct communication with the relevant authorities within the
Sultanate of Oman.
This integration between embassies, commercial attachés, and
Invest Oman contributes to building confidence, accelerating investment
pathways, and solidifying the Sultanate of Oman’s position as a competitive
investment destination at both the regional and international levels.
