Rahi arrives in Melbourne, starts Australia visit

NNA – Maronite Patriarch Cardinal Beshara Boutros Rahi, on Friday arrived in Australia on a pastoral visit that includes Sydney and Melbourne.

Patriarch Rahirsquo;s visit ends on September 24.

Patriarch Rahi is accompanied by Metropolitan Boulos Sayyah, and the Patriarchatersquo;s Media and Protocol Bureau Chief Walid Ghayyad.nbsp;

Welcoming the Patriarch upon arrival at the International Melbourne airport had been the Bishop of the Maronite Eparchy of Australia, New Zealand and Oceania, Charbel Torbey, Consul General of Lebanon, Dr. Ziad Itani, Honorary Consul of Lebanon for the Australian State of Tasmania, Lawyer Fadi Al-Zouki, Diocesan Vicar, Monsignor Marcelino Youssef,nbsp;Monsignor Joseph Al-Takchi, Our Lady of Lebanon Parish in Melbourne Father Richard Jabbour, and Father Johnny Saba.
