Amman, January 7 (Petra) – Health and Professional Control Department at the Greater Amman Municipality (GAM) closed 4,881 establishments during 2024 due to professional and health violations, fined 3,668 businesses, and warned 17,103 others.
In a statement Tuesday, the department’s director, Dr. Khaldoun Hawadi, said the inspection teams conducted 96,319 field visits and processed 14,354 e-complaints.
Hawadi added that the competent teams continue their operations in their various morning, evening and night shifts to achieve market compliance with rules in place.
