Amman, Jan. 7 (Petra) A total of 5,678 trademarks were registered last year in Jordan, compared to 8,521 in 2023, marking a decrease of 2,843 registrations.
According to data from the Industrial Property Protection Directorate at the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Supply, a total of 8,057 transactions were submitted during the same year, including 4,016 local and 4,041 foreign applications were field respectively for this purpose.
Meanwhile, 8,409 transactions were submitted in 2023 , including 3,932 local and 4,477 foreign requests, respectively.
225 requests were declined last year, compared to 868 in 2023, while 5,211 registrations received initial approval in 2024, compared to 8,539 in 2023, the data showed.
