Amman, Jan 12 (Petra) — Police launched a homicide investigation Sunday after discovering the body of a previously reported missing person in his vehicle in northern Amman, the Public Security Directorate (PSD) spokesperson announced.
The victim, who had been the subject of a missing person alert, was found deceased in his vehicle by law enforcement units.
Forensic examination revealed evidence of foul play, prompting the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) to form a specialized investigative task force.
“The body has been transferred to the forensic medical examiner, who confirmed suspicious circumstances surrounding the death,” the PSD spokesperson said in an official statement.
A full investigation is underway by the specialized CID team.
