Amman, January 12 (Petra) — Minister of Public Works and Housing, Interior Minister, Minister of Planning and International Cooperation and Transport Minister discussed the government’s commitment to advancing the development of border crossings.
The discussion took place during a meeting held on Sunday at the Ministry of Public Works, attended by the Assistant Chief of the Joint Chiefs of Staff for Operations, the Director General of the Land Transport Regulatory Commission, the Secretary General of the Ministry of Public Works and representatives from various security agencies.
The meeting was part of ongoing efforts, including previous meetings and field visits, to follow up on plans for comprehensive border centre development.
The meeting focused on coordinating efforts between different parties to create a unified vision for the long-term development of Jordan’s border crossings, ensuring they meet the country’s needs for decades to come.
Participants called for rehabilitating all border crossings, providing top-tier services to visitors and facilitating trade and transit through Jordan, ensuring that these crossings adhere to the best international practices.
