Ministry Seeks Investors for Sugar Beet Processing Plant

Amman, Jan 14 (Petra) — The Ministry of Agriculture announced Tuesday it is seeking investors to establish a sugar beet processing and refining factory in Azraq and Wadi Araba regions, as part of the kingdom’s Economic Modernization Vision and National Sustainable Agriculture Plan.

Interested investors must submit comprehensive feasibility studies covering all phases of the project, the ministry said in a statement.

A specialized technical committee will evaluate all proposals and select the one with the highest economic viability.

“This investment opportunity aligns with our efforts to expand agricultural processing capabilities and create new value chains,” a ministry official said.

The project falls under Jordan’s broader initiative to boost agricultural investments and food security.

Proposals should be submitted to the Investment Promotion Directorate at the ministry’s headquarters by January 30.

The ministry has designated a dedicated phone line (0790210299) for inquiries about the investment opportunity.
