Amman, January 14 (Petra) — Jordan’s tourism revenues in 2024 reached $7.239 billion, marking a 2.3% decrease compared to 2023, according to data from the Central Bank of Jordan (CBJ).
The revenue decline was largely attributed to a 3.9% drop in tourists visiting Jordan. The data highlighted a positive trend in certain segments, with revenues from Jordanian expatriates rising by 7.7% and from Arab visitors increasing by 12.0%.
Tourism revenues from European, American and other international markets saw significant declines, dropping by 54%, 35.2% and 15.3%, respectively.
The data revealed a 4.1% increase in spending on tourism abroad, which amounted to $1.937 billion in 2024, up from the previous year.
