MP hails Hashemite support to Palestinian people

Amman, Jan. 14 (Petra) – Chairman of the Lower House’s Palestine Committee, MP Suleiman Al-Saud, said that His Majesty King Abdullah’s supervision of preparing the largest aid convoy to the Gaza Strip reflects Jordan’s ongoing humanitarian role toward Palestine and its resilient people.

In a statement issued by the committee, Al-Saud emphasized that the royal directives have consistently prioritized providing support and relief to the people of Gaza, particularly amid the aggression the region endures.

He highlighted the significant efforts of the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO) in preparing a convoy comprising 120 trucks loaded with food, relief, and medical supplies. This marks the 140th convoy dispatched to Gaza since the start of the aggression.

Al-Saud added, “We, in the Palestine Committee, express our pride in the continuous efforts of Jordanians in supporting our Palestinian brothers and reaffirm our steadfast support for our Hashemite leadership, which continues to protect the Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem.”

He also commended His Majesty’s recognition of the JHCO by awarding it the Silver Jubilee Medal, acknowledging its substantial humanitarian and relief efforts not only toward Gaza but also in many other countries affected by disasters and wars.

Al-Saud further noted that “the work carried out by the JHCO reflects the deep fraternal ties between the Jordanian and Palestinian peoples, embodying the duty of a brother toward his brother.”
