Amman, Jan.15 (Petra) – His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq, Sultan of Oman, conferred “Al Nuoman Medal of the First Class ” on the former Jordanian Ambassador to the Sultanate, Amjad Jamil Quhawi, in appreciation of his efforts in serving and developing bilateral relations during his tenure from 2020 to 2024.

In a special ceremony held Wednesday, the Omani Ambassador to Jordan, Fahad Bin Abdul Rahman Alojaili, presented the medal to Quhawi.

Alojaili said the medal came in appreciation of Quhawi’s efforts in strengthening the friendship and cooperation ties and enhancing bilateral relations in various fields.

Alojaili added that the Sultanate is “proud” of its relations with Jordan, affirming Oman’s determination to continue the approach, based on mutual cooperation and respect to serve common interests.

Meanwhile, Quhawi expressed his gratitude for this high Royal honor, considering his diplomatic service in the Sultanate as “a dear station in his career.”

Commending Jordanian-Omani relations as “distinguished,” Quhawi noted ties have seen “accelerated” development in recent years, thanks to the efforts, follow-up and guidance of His Majesty King Abdullah II and His Majesty Sultan Haitham, extending congratulations for the brotherly Omani people on the anniversary of his assumption of power.

Current “advanced” levels in trade relations, economic cooperation and investment affirm the two countries’ diverse and sustainable growth, he pointed out.

Furthermore, he noted the bilateral ties reflect a “serious and sincere” desire and the two countries’ future vision to achieve a “strategic” partnership with diverse relations.
