Amman, Jan. 21 (Petra) – Speaker of the Lower House of Parliament Ahmad Safadi emphasized the determination and vision of His Majesty King Abdullah II, who has clearly outlined national priorities for the upcoming phase.
He noted that the primary goal of modernization efforts is to drive development and empower youth and women, fostering new leadership that invigorates state institutions and plays a significant role in the Lower House and future governments.
Speaking on Tuesday at the Badri Charitable Development and Rehabilitation Association Forum on women’s political empowerment, attended by Minister of Culture Mustafa Rawashdeh, Safadi highlighted the strong will of women, exemplified by Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah, who has called on the international community to act conscientiously and humanely regarding the aggression on Gaza.
Safadi also praised Princess Salma bint Abdullah II’s participation in relief airdrops alongside the military, reflecting the country’s commitment to defending Palestine, supported by its people, army, and security agencies.
He underlined the significant contributions of women in leadership roles, demonstrating their capacity to influence public affairs effectively. He affirmed that the Lower House values the forum’s outcomes and will study the recommendations provided by its partners in Badri, through the relevant House committees.
