Amman, Feb. 6 (Petra) – Senate President, Faisal Fayez, said His Majesty King Abdullah II continues the journey of comprehensive construction and reform in its various political, economic and administrative dimensions to build a strong Jordan to face challenges with “unwavering” resolve.

On the occasion of King’s assumption of constitutional powers, marked Friday, Fayez said the Senate continues supports to His Majesty’s “remarkable” positions and efforts to push the nation’s advancement, progress and prosperity.

His Majesty’s endeavors aim at providing a “free and dignified” life for citizens, in his defense of Jordan’s national principles and higher interests, he said.

Fayez added that the King’s action to confront various schemes targeting Jordan’s national values to maintain the nation’s security and stability.

Continuing: “the Senate is all proud of His Majesty’s efforts aimed at consolidating Jordan’s role in the Arab and international arenas”.

The Senate, he noted, will remain a “strong” supporter of His Majesty in defending the just causes of the Arab nation, foremost is the Palestinian cause.

In this regard, he valued His Majesty’s continuous endeavors and efforts to stop the brutal Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and the occupied Arab West Bank.
