Aqaba, Feb. 20 (Petra) — The “Cybersecurity: protecting information in the digital era” workshop wrapped up today in Aqaba. Organized by the Aqaba Youth Center in partnership with the National Cyber Security Center and led by the Elite Youth Leadership Team, the event brought together 25 participants from a variety of age groups.

The workshop aimed to enhance participants’ understanding of the critical importance of cybersecurity and equip them with the knowledge to protect their digital assets from evolving cyber threats.

Key discussions focused on the foundational principles of cybersecurity, identifying and mitigating cyber risks, and the crucial role users play in strengthening digital security. Participants also explored best practices for securely using email and browsing the internet.

Through practical simulations and real-world scenarios, the workshop provided valuable insights into the most pressing security challenges faced by both individuals and organizations. It also highlighted effective strategies for preventing cyberattacks.

In its closing session, the workshop underscored the importance of ongoing awareness campaigns to foster a culture of cybersecurity and ensure continued digital protection across communities.
