Havertz Set to Miss Rest of Season Due
to Hamstring Injury
London, 13 Feb (ONA) — Arsenal
forward Kai Havertz is set to miss the rest of the season after suffering a
hamstring injury during the team’s Dubai training camp.
The 25-year-old’s absence will leave
the North Londoners without a recognised striker until the end of the 2024-25
season.
The Athletic first reported a torn
hamstring and that his season was likely to be over, external.
Sources close to Havertz expect surgery
will be needed after he flew back with the team on Tuesday, BBC sports
reported.
Arsenal have yet to comment publicly
on Havertz’s injury. Manager Mikel Arteta will be asked about the extent of the
injury at Friday’s news conference before his side take on Leicester City on
Saturday.
