Oman Olympic Committee Organizes “Promising Talents”
Forum in Dhofar

Salalah, 1 Sep 2026 (ONA) — Oman
Olympic Committee, represented by the Omani Athletes’ Committee, in
collaboration with Oman School Sports Association, organized the
“Promising Talents” Forum in Dhofar Governorate over a two-day
period.

A number of young athletes participated in the forum, which is
part of the Committee’s ongoing efforts to disseminate the culture of the
Olympic movement and familiarize athletes with the values and principles
underpinning Olympic sport.

The forum addressed several themes related to the journey of the
promising athlete, including athlete protection, Olympic values and ethics, the
concept of building the champion of the future, along with the development of
success skills required by athletes both on and off the field, and enhancing
their ability to navigate the various stages of their athletic careers.

The programme also featured
inspirational experiences through meetings with a number of seasoned athletes,
who shared their personal journeys, career milestones, and lessons learned —
offering valuable insights that can be drawn upon in shaping the athletic
trajectory of emerging talents.

The forum concluded with an open
discussion session with the athletes, providing them with the opportunity to
raise inquiries and share their perspectives on the various topics covered
throughout the programme, while exchanging ideas and experiences in an
interactive atmosphere.
