Amman, May 7 (Petra) – The Ministry of Foreign and Expatriate Affairs welcomed the efforts of the Sultanate of Oman that led to a ceasefire agreement between the United States and the relevant authorities in Yemen, calling it a significant step toward preventing further conflict and tension in the region and safeguarding the freedom of navigation and international trade.
Ministry spokesperson Sufyan Qudah said Jordan welcomes the agreement, which contributes to de-escalating tensions and opens the door to resolving disputes through dialogue and peaceful means, thus supporting regional and international peace and security.
Qudah reaffirmed Jordan’s support for all diplomatic efforts aimed at resolving regional conflicts and disputes in pursuit of a just and comprehensive global peace.
