
Amman, May 11 (Petra) – Princess Sarvath El Hassan on Saturday inaugurated the 36th annual exhibition of Bunayat Centre for Special Education (BCSE), featuring artworks and crafts made by the center-enrolled students as part of its 50th anniversary celebrations.
The event, which is supervised by the BCSE Vocational Rehabilitation Department, showcases students’ handiworks produced during the current academic year.
The exhibits cover ceramics, knitting, mosaics, carpentry, and agriculture items, as well as foodstiffs, mainly pickles, jams, thyme, and dried leafy vegetables.
The center, which houses students with mild to moderate intellectual disabilities and autism spectrum disorder, works to provide beneficiaries with the skills to lead productive lives, enhance their social and economic integration, and become self-reliant.
In her address, Princess Sarvath stressed the importance of continuing to support and empower students with disabilities to contribute to building Jordan and leading a “fulfilling” life in various fields.
Princess Sarvath and the visiting ambassadors, partners, and the center’s friends praised the students’ artistic and creative level, which reflects their ability to interact with their communities and families.
The event is scheduled open to visitors on Sunday and Monday, from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
