Amman, May 18 (Petra) – The National Center for Curriculum Development (NCCD) announced approval of 65 new various school textbooks, covering a range of subjects from kindergarten level to 12 grade.
According to a NCCD statement, the new titles cover multiple subjects, mainly Arabic and English languages, Islamic education, science, mathematics, and digital skills, as well as the first stage of kindergarten.
The center noted the approval comes in line with its ongoing efforts to develop national curricula and textbooks, in accordance with “the best modern” methods to meet Jordan’s needs in the path to achieve “optimal” learning goals.
The NCCD stated the newly announced set of books seeks to enhance student-related critical thinking and integrate linguistic and digital skills.
Involving expert authoring and arbitration committees, the NCCD noted these releases were prepared, in accordance with “modern” academic and educational standards, taking into account student-based individual differences and their diverse needs.
