Vatican City, May 18 (Petra) — His Majesty King Abdullah’s Chief Adviser for Religious and Cultural Affairs and Personal Envoy, Prince Ghazi bin Muhammad, participated on Sunday in the enthronement ceremony of Pope Leo XIV at the Vatican.
The enthronement mass was held in St. Peter’s Square and was attended by heads of state, officials and representatives from countries around the world. Pope Leo XIV was elected on May 8, following the death of Pope Francis on April 21.
His Majesty the King sent a congratulatory cable to Pope Leo XIV, wishing him success in fulfilling his noble mission.
In the cable, His Majesty reaffirmed Jordan’s commitment to continue working with the Vatican to deepen interfaith dialogue and promote peace, harmony and understanding worldwide.
