Draft Media and Information Literacy Strategy Released for Public Feedback

Amman, May 19 (Petra) – The Ministry of Government Communication and the Jordan Media Institute (JMI), in collaboration with UNESCO, have released a draft of a national strategy for media and information literacy (MIL) for 2025–2028.

The strategy aims to enhance institutional and individual capacities by integrating MIL into national policies and bridging digital and knowledge gaps through the advancement of digital skills and competencies.

The draft is available on the Ministry’s website (mogc.gov.jo), the JMI website (jmi.edu.jo), and their respective social media platforms, as well as UNESCO’s platforms.

Members of the public and stakeholders are invited to submit suggestions or comments on the draft over the next two weeks until June 3 by emailing the Ministry at [[email protected]] or the Institute at [[email protected]].
