Amman, May 20 (Petra) – The Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF) announced Tuesday that the Eastern Military Zone intercepted a drone attempting to smuggle narcotics into the Kingdom.
An official military source said that border guard units detected the drone as it attempted to cross illegally into Jordanian territory. It was promptly shot down along with its cargo. The confiscated items were handed over to the relevant authorities for further investigation.
The source reaffirmed the JAF’s readiness to confront any threat to national security, emphasizing its determination to prevent all forms of infiltration and smuggling with full force and resolve.
