Amman, May 22 (Petra) – The Karate Federation on Thursday officially submitted Jordan’s bid to host the Asian Youth, Junior, and Under-21 Championships, scheduled to take place next year.
The announcement was made during the General Assembly meetings of the Asian Karate Federation, held in Uzbekistan, with Jordan represented by Federation President Hassan Masoud.
Jordan’s bid will compete against proposals from Turkmenistan and Kyrgyzstan, with the host nation to be selected in a forthcoming vote by General Assembly members.
The meetings are taking place on the sidelines of the Asian Senior Karate Championships, which will commence in Uzbekistan on Friday, with Jordan’s national team participating.
