Amman, May 25 (Petra)– Saleh Al-Khawaldeh – Ambassadors from sisterly and friendly nations confirmed that Jordan, led by His Majesty King Abdullah II, has been a “pillar of stability” in the region and a major force in advancing global peace and security for a long time. It has helped maintain regional stability and maintained national unity.

In interviews with the Jordan News Agency (Petra), on Sunday, they said that Jordan has remained a haven of peace and stability, overcoming all obstacles, and is a crucial strategic partner in the region’s peace process, despite the unrest and the incredibly challenging events and developments.

They urged the international community to give humanitarian supplies to the Gaza Strip immediately and effectively in order to shield the people of Gaza from a protracted siege, pointing out that Jordan was one of the first countries to do so. They went on to say that Jordan offers more services than it can to the refugees who came there to escape the horrors of Syria, making it a special humanitarian issue.

Under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II, Jordan performs a special and significant role in preserving regional peace and stability, which China greatly values, according to Chinese Ambassador to Amman Chen Chuandong. Thanks to the astute leadership of succeeding monarchs and the combined efforts of its citizens, Jordan has managed to maintain its status as a “oasis of peace” and a dependable mediator and conflict resolution tool despite being situated in a region that is riddled with conflicts.

He emphasized that Jordan upholds the international order founded on international law, is dedicated to an independent and balanced foreign policy, and supports the Palestinian people’s legitimate rights.

Jordan has always been a “pillar of stability” in the region, contributing significantly to global peace and security under the unwavering leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II, according to Japanese Ambassador Hideki Asari. Jordan has contributed to regional stability and preserved national unity, he continued.

Jordan established a humanitarian corridor to provide aid to the Gaza population via air and land in response to the humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza. In line with Japan’s stance, the Kingdom has also been a major voice in advocating for a quick ceasefire and prompt aid delivery, highlighting the two-state solution as the sole means of bringing about long-term peace and stability in the area.

“Jordan plays a vital role in promoting peace and stability and has demonstrated a steadfast commitment to humanitarian assistance and regional cooperation, particularly in supporting the most vulnerable, including Palestinians in the Gaza Strip,” said Pierre-Christophe Chatzisavas, ambassador of the European Union to Amman.

He went on to say that the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF) and the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization have made a substantial contribution to the air and land delivery of aid to Gaza, stressing that this continuous support is a reflection of Jordan’s dedication to the Palestinian cause and its position as a vital regional hub.

Eldar Salimov, the ambassador of Azerbaijan, stated that Jordan’s geographic location and dedication to diplomacy and moderation allow it to play a stable and positive role in preserving global peace and security, particularly in the Middle East.

He went on to say that Jordan encourages peaceful resolutions, takes part in peacekeeping operations, takes in refugees, facilitates communication between parties to conflicts, and strengthens security cooperation with the global community.

In order to stop the aggression on Gaza, confront the lies of the occupation, defend the rights of the Palestinian people, and find a solution to the Palestinian issue as a foundation for regional security and stability, Jordan has pursued an active foreign policy based on dialogue and appeasement, particularly since October 7, 2023, according to Tunisian Ambassador Mufida Zribi.

She demanded the restoration of the Palestinian people’s rights and the creation of an independent state with East Jerusalem as its capital.

She went on to say that Jordan has made clear its strong stances to the world community and is one of the leading voices alerting people to the gravity of the situation, urging them to take responsibility, uphold international norms, and safeguard human dignity.
