Amman, May 26 (Petra) – The Minister of Government Communication and official spokesperson, Mohammad Momani, has paid tribute to veteran journalist Mohammad Injadat, who passed away on Sunday after a distinguished career in journalism and media spanning over three decades.

Momani remembered Injadat as a consummate professional whose integrity, dedication, and deep commitment to the craft left a lasting mark on the field.

During his years at the Jordan News Agency (Petra), where he worked as an editor, editorial secretary, and ultimately as head of the English desk, Injadat was widely respected for his professionalism and character.

The Minister extended his condolences to Injadat’s family, friends, and the broader Jordanian media community, praying for peace and comfort for those who mourn his loss.

Petra’s Director General, Fayrouz Mubaideen, also expressed her condolences on behalf of the agency, recalling Injadat’s pivotal role in shaping Petra’s editorial voice in English and his many contributions to the agency over the years. She offered heartfelt sympathies to his family and colleagues.

Born in Ajloun in 1950, Injadat earned a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Baghdad in 1973. He began his career at the Ministry of Information in 1982 before joining Petra in 1985. He retired in 2011 upon reaching the official retirement age.
