Ministry of Justice to build Tafilah Palace of Justice, says Minister  

Amman, May 26 (Petra) — The Council of Ministers tasked the Ministry of Justice to begin procedures for issuing tenders related to studies and designs for a Palace of Justice in Tafilah with a timeline until the end of the year and construction to commence in 2026.

Minister of Government Communication Mohammad Momani, who announced the government’s decision, explained that the decision reflects the government’s efforts to develop the justice sector and create an environment conducive to serving citizens effectively.

The project is expected to bolster judicial infrastructure and streamline legal procedures in the southern governorate, Momani added.

He emphasised that the implementation of the Palace of Justice in Tafilah would commence in 2026, adding this proves that the government is committed to enhancing judicial services and promoting comprehensive development.

He highlighted that the new facility aims to provide a modern, advanced space that supports judicial institutions and reinforces Tafilah’s importance. It seeks to improve the quality of legal services and strengthen Tafilah’s role as a key administrative and legal hub.
