
Several Palestinians Suffer Suffocation during Israeli Raid on
Nablus Old City Occupied
Jerusalem, 10 Jun (ONA) Over 15 Palestinians suffered from suffocation during
the Israeli occupation forces’ raid on the Old City of Nablus this morning.Director
of the Red Crescent’s Emergency and Ambulance Center in Nablus, Amid Ahmed,
said that ambulance crews treated more than 15 cases of suffocation, including
children, due to inhaling tear gas during the Israeli occupation forces’ raid
on the Old City of Nablus.According
to Palestinian news agency (WAFA), the Israeli occupation forces raided
multiple neighborhoods within the Old City of Nablus, in addition to the Khan
Market, and carried out searches of homes and shops, ransacking their contents.
Snipers were widely deployed on the rooftops of residential buildings.The
occupation forces also targeted a number of homes with live ammunition and tear
gas canisters, while a number of young men were detained.Furthermore,
the Nablus Education Directorate announced the suspension of school operations
across the city and the postponement of the unified exams in all schools until
next Monday.The
occupied West Bank has witnessed an escalation in Israeli assaults in recent
months, coinciding with the ongoing war in the Gaza Strip. These operations
have included increased raids, arrests, and indiscriminate shootings across
various Palestinian cities and towns. —
