Championship of School Beach Games Concludes
in Salalah
Salalah, 3 September 2026 (ONA) — The
5th edition of the School Beach Games championship, organized by the
Oman School Sports Association, concluded today at the sand courts of the
Sultan Qaboos Youth Complex for Culture and Entertainment in Salalah.
The closing ceremony was held under
the auspices of Sayyid Sulaiman bin Ali Al Busaidi, Deputy Secretary-General of
the Council of Ministers, and attended
by Dr. Intisar Abdullah Al Ambusaidi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of
Education for Educational Support Programmes.
The championship ran from 30 August
to 3 September 2026. It saw the participation of 102 students representing different educational directorates who competed in beach handball and beach volleyball.
Muscat Education Directorate defeated
North Al Batinah Education Directorate in two sets in the beach volleyball
final.
In the beach handball final, Muscat
Education Directorate defeated A’Dakhiliyah Education Directorate in two sets.
