Amman, June 17 (Petra) – The competent government authorities are taking the “necessary” measures to ensure “sustainability” of the alternative fuel stock and supply for 20 days, an official source at the Ministry of Energy said.
The source added that the process will be secured on an “ongoing” basis to compensate for the shortage in natural gas quantities used in electricity generation operations in the Kingdom.
In a statement Tuesday, the source noted all Jordan’s relevant authorities are assessing the current situation and any future developments for the short and long terms to maintain the Kingdom’s energy security.
