Amman, June 17 (Petra) – The European Union has activated its Civil Protection Mechanism to assist member states in evacuating their citizens from the Middle East amid escalating military tensions between Israel and Iran.
Following an emergency meeting of EU foreign ministers, the bloc’s High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas, said the EU is working to support its citizens who wish to leave the region.
