Amman, June 18 (Petra) – The Agricultural Credit Corporation (ACC) announced on Wednesday it extended loans totaling JD7.7 million for 2,276 livestock farmers to purchase fodder for sheep, cattle and camels.
The financial support is to make up for limited pastures after a weak rain season, it said, adding that the loans aim to accelerate access to fodder and maintain continuity in livestock production.
The ACC said the funding was fully covered by the Ministry of Agriculture’s budget, in line with its policy to support the livestock sector and enhance farmers’ resilience to face climate-related problems.
