Amman, June 23 (Petra) – Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Major General Yousef Huneiti, met on Monday with Lieutenant General Edward Ahlgren, the UK Defense Senior Advisor to the Middle East, and his accompanying delegation at the General Command of the Jordan Armed Forces–Arab Army (JAF).
The two sides discussed regional and international developments, explored avenues for enhancing military cooperation, and reviewed efforts to strengthen the strategic partnership between the armed forces of Jordan and the United Kingdom.
Ahlgren commended Jordan’s pivotal role, under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II, in promoting regional and global security and stability. He also reaffirmed the importance of the longstanding ties between the two countries across various sectors.
The meeting was attended by senior JAF officers and the British Defense Attaché in Amman.
