Amman, June 24 (Petra) — Prime Minister Jafar Hassan held separate meetings on Tuesday at the Prime Ministry with Ghaith Tarawneh, Chair of the Board of Directors of the Jordan Radio and Television Corporation, and Nabil Gheishan, Chair of the Board of the Jordan News Agency (Petra).
During the meetings, discussions focused on developing the capabilities of official media institutions to strengthen their presence, especially in the realm of digital media and on diversifying their media output.
The importance of producing purposeful programmes and dramas on Jordan Television was also highlighted.
The role of national media in supporting the country’s comprehensive modernization efforts politically, economically and administratively was discussed.
Minister of Government Communication Mohammad Momani attended both meetings.
