Salt, June 25 (Petra) – Her Royal Highness Princess Basma bint Ali, founder of the Royal Botanic Garden of Jordan, met with National Agricultural Research Center Director Ibrahim Al Rawashdeh, to discuss joint cooperation.
The two sides tackled ways to enhance cooperation in plant research in the service of sustainable development and agricultural innovation, the research center said in a statement.
Rawashdeh was briefed on the design, quality of organization and diversity of plant species in the garden, which preserves native plants and ecosystems, and promotes biodiversity research and environmental learning.
He commended Her Highness’s pioneering role in creating the garden as “a distinguished national agricultural landmark.”
