Amman, June 25 (Petra) — His Majesty King Abdullah II received a phone call from Iraq President Abdul Latif Rashid on Wednesday, during which they discussed ways to support de-escalation efforts in the region.
According to a royal court statement, His Majesty called for stepping up Arab efforts to stabilise the ceasefire between Iran and Israel, and working effectively with the international community to stop the war on Gaza, and reach comprehensive calm in the region.
The King also warned of the consequences of escalations in the West Bank and Jerusalem on the region’s security and stability, according to the statement.
