Amman, July 1 (Petra) – The Jordan Phosphate Mines Company (JPMC) has granted JD100,000 to the Jordan Football Association (JFA), affirming its ongoing “commitment” to support national sports and honor the national football team’s “significant” achievement in qualifying for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
In a statement, JPMC Chairman, Dr. Mohammad Thneibat, said this grant reflects the company’s national responsibility and its belief in the importance of sports’ role in empowering youth and strengthening Jordan’s presence on the international sports scene.
Thneibat added that national football team’s qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup is a “historic milestone” for all Jordanians, valuing the JFA’s efforts in developing football locally and supporting the team on its path to snatch global glory.
Thneibat noted the “significant” role of national companies in supporting the national team, adding that these initiatives reflect the “spirit of partnership and social responsibility and contribute to stimulating further sporting achievements.”
The company had previously provided a similar financial grant to the JFA, as part of its policy to support Jordanian sports and the national football team.
