Amman, July 1 (Petra) – The Vocational Training Corporation (VTC) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on Tuesday with New Era Institute Australia, in partnership with Queen Victoria College, to enhance cooperation in international vocational training and support Jordanian youth to access the Australian labor market with “high efficiency.”

VTC Director General Ahmad Gharaibeh and New Era Institute Founder and Director of Business Development Khaled Hammad signed the agreement.

According to a VTC statement, the memo aims to develop internationally accredited training programs that align with Australian labor market needs, enable Jordanian trainees to earn Australian-recognized certificates, network with Australian employers, and design dual training tracks that combine theoretical and practical training for “greater” employability.

The agreement outlines cooperation areas, mainly developing joint training programs in priority sectors inside and outside Australia, asessing and accrediting training centers in Jordan to meet international standards, organizing workshops on job opportunities and Australian occupational standards, and training local trainers on the best global practices.

Under the agreement, the Australian side will provide accredited occupational standards for related professions, define competencies and skills requirements, and clarify the processes for professional registration and accreditation in Australia.

The MoU will also supply information on labor market needs, including lists of in-demand jobs for immigration, employer preferences, and requirements for residency, employment, and language proficiency by sector and region.

The VTC noted its “commitment” to provide Jordanian youth with internationally recognized skills to enter local, regional, and global labor markets with “high competence and professionalism.”
