Amman, July 7 (Petra) The National Center for Human Rights (NCHR) and a delegation of the Jordan Diplomatic Club held talks on enhancing communication channels and fostering collaboration with stakeholders.
NCHR Commissioner-General Jamal Shamayleh discussed the Center’s role and responsibilities in monitoring, protecting and promoting human rights in accordance with its independent legal mandate.
NCHR Protection Commissioner Nahla Momani and Promotion Commissioner Nidal Maqabla elaborated on the Center’s diverse activities, including awareness-raising, training programmes, legislative review and complaint handling mechanisms.
They underscored the importance of the Centre as a “vital” partner in advancing the human rights framework in Jordan.
