Irbid, July 8 (Petra) – Irbid Governor Radwan Al-Atoum reiterated the close and solid ties between the Jordanian and Syrian peoples on Tuesday during an official visit to Syria’s Daraa Governorate. He met with Daraa Governor Anwar Al-Zoubi and a number of executive council members.

Al-Atoum described the visit as the first of its kind to Daraa and emphasized that His Majesty King Abdullah II leads these relations with wisdom, constantly seeking to strengthen them for the benefit of both brotherly peoples and to enhance cooperation between Syria and Jordan.

He added that the visit represents a positive step toward boosting bilateral cooperation, with tangible effects expected across multiple sectors. Al-Atoum praised the warm reception and fraternal spirit that characterized the meeting.

The discussions covered a range of mutual interests across various fields.

Both sides agreed to form joint committees between their respective chambers of industry and commerce to explore cooperation mechanisms between Jordanian and Syrian private sectors. The committees will report their findings to the relevant authorities in both countries to reinforce brotherly bilateral ties and serve the interests of the two peoples.
