Programme to Support Cybersecurity Projects Launched

Jul (ONA) — A programme to support cybersecurity projects was launched today by
theNational Centre for Cyber Security at the Ministry of Transport,
Communications and Information Technology.

The programme
is being implemented in cooperation with the University of Technology and
Applied Sciences (UTAS), Muscat, in partnership with the Authority for Small
and Medium Enterprises Development—with support from Eshraqa Foundation for
Community Development.

The programme which runs until July 24, is being held at Hadatha Centre for Cybersecurity
Industry at UTAS.

The programme is envisaged to serve entrepreneurs and owners
of startups operating in the field of cybersecurity, from Muscat Governorate. It
seeks to enable the stakeholders to develop their innovative ideas and convert
them into viable commercial projects in local, regional or global markets.

The programme includes a training package covering operational
planning skills, financial management, the development of visual identity and
digital marketing, team management and the selection of employees. It also includes
market analysis and the skills of exploring economic opportunities and
challenges, with a view to securing project sustainability.

The programme reflects national institutions’ commitment to
support innovation and technology-based entrepreneurship, in line with digital transition goals targeted by Oman Vision 2040.
