Jordan’s civil defense responds to 1,706 various incidents in 24 hours

Amman, July 13 (Petra) – Civil Defense Directorate (CDD) handled 1,706 incidents over the past 24 hours, including ambulance, rescue, and firefighting operations, as part of its ongoing efforts to preserve citizens’ safety and ensure “quick” respose.

In a statement Sunday, the CDD said its teams dealt with 1,463 and 126 emergency and rescue cases, with an average response time of 7:37 and 7:36 minutes, respectively.

Additionally, the firefighters suppressed 117 various blazes nationwide at a response time of 7:33 minutes.

The CDD said this effort reflects the CDD teams’ “readiness and efficiency” in performing their duties to the “fullest extent possible.”

Urging the public to call the unified emergency number (911), the CDD stressed that its teams are always “ready” to handle various situations “professionally and effectively”.
