Amman, July 14 (Petra) – Interior Minister Mazen Faraya visited Madaba on Monday to meet Security Council and the Chair of the Madaba Municipal Committee in the presence of Madaba Governor Hassan Jbour and administrative governors.
Faraya said his visit is aimed at assessing the level of preparedness and the coordination in fieldwork among executive councils, municipal committees and provincial council committees.
He called for cooperation and effective coordination among all stakeholders to deliver high-quality services to people, highlighting the need to support and assist municipal committees and provincial councils during this period, enabling them to fulfill their duties competently until the election of permanent councils.
He underscored the significance of productive performance and diligent work by municipal committees, encouraging them to draw on successful experiences from other municipalities and engage in joint consultations.
He urged implementing existing projects and evaluating their feasibility in serving the public interest.
The Minister said establishing public order requires regular institutional work in accordance with applicable laws, assuring people of their right to receive public services.
He called for practical results reflecting effective institutional work that Jordanians can see across various service and public sectors.
Madaba Governor and members of the Security Council gave a briefing regarding the cooperation among various agencies and departments in Madaba, all committed to improving services and upholding the rule of law.
The Chair of the Madaba Municipal Committee outlined the municipality’s current conditions and the development plans serving as a roadmap for upcoming work.
Faraya visited the Civil Status and Passports Directorate in Madaba, met with service users and employees and directly addressed their concerns, instructing necessary measures to resolve some issues.
He inspected the new Madaba Governorate building under construction and reviewed its progress.
