Mafraq, July 14 (Petra) – An average 1,500 trucks make it through the Jaber border crossing with Syria daily in both directions, customs director of the crossing Brig. Gen. Musa Sarhid said on Monday.
He told Petra in an interview that Jaber customs authorities are working at full capacity to facilitate trade flow, which has remarkably grown since the beginning of the year.
The border post, he said, experienced recurring congestions due to a rise in truck numbers, but that streamlining customs and security procedures would cut time and help complete transactions in record time despite the rise in commercial activity.
