Amman, July 16 (Petra) — Jordanian firefighting units began their return home on Wednesday after completing a courageous humanitarian mission in Syria, where they assisted in battling widespread wildfires across the coastal province of Latakia.

Acting on Royal directives, the Public Security Directorate deployed specialized civil defense teams to support Syria during the severe outbreak of fires. These elite crews were equipped with advanced tools and firefighting machinery, ensuring they could operate effectively under challenging conditions.

Upon arrival, Jordanian teams immediately joined Syrian firefighters on the ground, working in close coordination to contain the flames and protect affected communities.

This effort stood as a strong gesture of human and regional solidarity, underscoring Jordan’s steadfast commitment to aiding neighboring countries in times of crisis.
